As people prepare to celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Galveston, and other locations across the country, last week I visited Bandera, Texas, and experienced Cowboy Mardi Gras. It was good, clean, family fun with all the purple, gold, green, and white you could find. For information about Bandera, visit http://www.banderacowboycapital.com.

Wow, your photos give a new meaning to the phrase “in the moment.” You captured the fun and frivolity that Bandera is known for…and a good time was had by all.
What can I say, Patricia? I love Bandera!
I have a saying about this little town of Bandera, Texas…..”When you get to Bandera, Bandera gets to you.” And no where does it apply more than for Cowboy Mardi Gras. The parade pictures are fantastic, come back and capture the essence of the rest of it because Cowboy Mardi Gras is not just a parade, it a weekend of fun cowboy and cajun style.
I’ve visited to Bandera many times, Sigrid, and have never been disappointed.
