Wildflowers in Texas – They’re Everywhere!

Some of the contributions made by Lady Bird Johnson when she was First Lady of the United States appear every Spring in Texas. Wildflowers are seen in flower beds, fields, and gardens across the state. Gorgeous bluebonnets, paintbrushes and other vibrant-colored findings flourish at this time of year in places like the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Wildseed Farms near Fredericksburg, the Bluebonnet Trails near Ennis in North Texas, in the medians of interstate highways, and along country sides. These are just a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. After recent rain showers, the colors should be even more breathtaking throughout the Lone Star State. Jump in the car, take a drive and see for yourself.
